Those are both good guns and will get the job done.
My preference is the Benelli SBE. I have had one for about 7 years now. It is extremely versative and I can hunt anything with feathers with it (haven't ostrich hunted with it - YET).
I can load any combination of 2 3/4, 3 and 3 1/2 inch shells in it and it takes and fires them and spits them out with no problem (amazingly fast as well!). Have taken doves to turkeys with it and everything in between.
The only problem I have is with light loads when the gun is a dirty or the shells are wet.

ICM i had a SBE 2yrs ago,,,they are nice but i didn't need a 3.5 gun ,,,,,i thought about getting a M1 super 90 but i opted for the beretta,,,,,and since they own benelli i was getting a gun as good or better than a benelli

The Beretta is a very good gun. I looked at them long and hard when I was making a choice several years ago.
At that time I had a Rem 1100 mag that shot 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells and felt (and still feel) that the 3 1/2 supermag gives it an added dimension, not to mention some added shot as well, which I use for geese and gobblers.
That Benelli just seems to fit me well. I have been shooting it for some time now and it still is a reliable, versatile gun that is downright fun to shoot. I can squeeze off three shots accurately pretty durn well.
I was planning on getting another Benelli - this time a 20 guage auto for dove hunting - up until this past weekend. The SBE was just enjoyable to shoot and I thought "Why do I need the 20?". So that idea got nixxed.
Now I am thinking about a sporting clays gun! (maybe a Beretta) WOOHOO!!!!! ;D

I guess I have shot just about everything EXCEPT Sellier & Bellot!. Have seen them advertised in Cabellas, but generally buy off the shelf at Academy, Bass Pro or Carter Country (somewaht higher) here in Houston. I have been satisfied with Estate for skeet and clays - are made just up the road in Willis, Texas. (keep waiting for them to open up a factory outlet store!) The Estate shells are about 15 or 20 percent cheaper than the name brands and have found them to be about as effective as the higher priced loads. I also shoot a lot of Remington and Winchester game loads for ducks, geese (steel) and for quail and dove. Use the big boys for turkeys, generally from Remington, but don't really shop for name brand, rather value.

;D We started shooting the S&B's couple of years ago and been pleased with them.
My main two guns are a Berretta 12 ga. and my Gold Signature Browning 12 ga. Both shoot exceptionally well. The Browning is very versatile with interchangeable chokes.
But neither one is chambered for the 3 1/2".
