We called this cat Sat. the 11th at dawn. He responded agressively to "fawn distress".

Hey Slammy, Congrats! Where were you hunting and how long were you on the stand before he showed up? Tell us some more about your hunt! Bob

Thanks Bobcat, My wife and I were at our lease in Aspermont, Texas. We set up at a newly established deer feeder location. I put my caller and a fawn decoy right beside the feeder fence. We were there forty five minutes before dawn although it wasn't pitch black darkness as there was a full moon. Right before daylight clouds rolled in and it started misting making it difficult to tell the difference from the night before or the day just beginning. I forced myself to wait until I could see into all of the shadows before turning on the caller. I turned on the "fawn distress" at a low volume and within two minutes heard my wife's rifle fire. One shot. I turned the caller up loud for about fifteen seconds, then back down. Three minutes later the bobcat came running in and stopped about forty yards in front of me on the other side of a bush. I could clearly see his left rear leg, but not his vital area. I watched him through the scope for twenty seconds (seemed like twenty minutes, Ha Ha). I looked at where he could go and where he came from and thought about whether he would proceed walking or running. I couldn't stand it any more; I placed the crosshairs where his shoulder would be located and shot. It was all over in thirty seconds, but hunts like this are why my wife and I love to hunt predators. Oh yea, my wife shot a big male coyote that was coming in at a gallop towards the fawn decoy.

What a great time for both of you! I am glad you clarified that it is your wife in the bottom photo or we would have to nickname you "pretty boy"! ;D ;D Good Hunting, Bob
