500 Smith & Wesson Magnum

Hey guys, Magnum Research has the BFR out in .50 S&W. I love the 45-70. I have shot several 2" groups at 200 yds using cast boolits with it. I killed 2 deer with it this past season. If the .50 shoots as good it would be worth looking into. Might be cheaper too, I don't know what the S&W is going for.

If I didn't want a double action I would look at the MRI BFR.

My dad and I have a smith .500 s&w. It is an awesome gun, we're gonna start reloading for it becaus ewe got a box of 12 cartridges for 40 bucks. The recoil isn't really that bad with the ports but you still have to hang on to it or it will jump right out of your hands. Very sweet gun.

I have one on Layaway, I will be sure to post a complete reply of how it handles hot handloads and everythigg else once I have it in my possession......

They sure have a nice heft to them......
