Well after talking to Sarg and a few other people, decided to give the Sightron 6x24 a try, bought it today maybe can get it mounted before long and give it a whirl. Still looking at the Burris FF 2 6.5x20 cos I need another, if the Sightron does as I expect may get another. Looked at Leupold, Nikon, and all the rest, so many good quality optics out for a good price makes it a hard decision.

Sarg, I got the scope in, mounted it and took it to the range. I am really impressed with it. Clarity is great. I mounted it on a Model 12 Savage 22-250 with a Choate stock, it is a shooter. Will probably buy another for my Ruger.

I got to look through one of Sarge's S-II's this weekend at the Member's Hunt during different light conditions. I was really impressed with the clarity and light gathering. I think they have come a long way up from their origingal line of scopes.

jdickey I used the standard rings that came with the ruger m77 was enough to clear on the m38 huskey I used the high leupold rings(mostly for bolt clearance)on all the others I was able to use the standard height leupold rings(since they all have leupold bases)

I put leupold rings and bases on it and it sure does the job. It can out shoot me. When I shot it in, I shot 10 shot group about the size of a nickel, I was shakin a little.

Hey All, I found a real good price on the SII 3x9x42 for under $200.00 at www.tjgeneralstore.com You might want to go there and have your favorite place match the prices. Good luck, Marcos (elalto)

I bought them through Midway, they have them on sale through February for 349.95, lot cheaper than anywhere else I looked, about 100 bucks cheaper than some places. pull up www.midwayusa.com and take a look at their monthly specials.
