:-/Hey CoonDawg... I saw the intro for the CrossLander this past spring; made in Brazil and with no A/C. I think there's only two dealers in Texas that will carry it, but haven't checked in months.
Got to drive a real life H2 the past two weekends; belongs to Southwest Sales in Dallas, and was plastered with DELTA FAUCET ads all over it. Drives real cool, lots of room inside, handles great, but takes getting use to seeing out the windows! My only gripe was the sound system, but thats GM for you!
Oh well, gimme a Willys Jeep and lets go on down the road! ;D

AZRanger don't want to make you but, there's a dealership out side of Dallas that sells 03 3500 dually 4x4 SLTs and automatics for $31,000. JD one of the dealers that has them is Gonzaba Autoplex here in San Antonio, Joe the service manager told me about them when I was looking at a used Range Rover in fact he should have a couple by now and they will have AC and will be made in the U.S.A.. My daughter wants me to get an H2 but, I told her I could buy a Youkon and have money left over to buy her a car she wouldn't go for it . The thing I don't like about the H2 is the spare tire is inside taking up room so you can't carry anything.

On the job I had I was at most of the Ford dealerships every week. And BELIEVE ME the problems they are having with them , I'm not a Ford man even thought I own a 82 Bronco. There were not parts from the FACTORY To replace the ones that broke. Stick with the Cummings, you'll be surprised at what you can do to it. How about 600 hp and 1375 ftlbs of torque

I to have to agree that all the Avalanche owners I know love them. None of them really go offroad though. I just can't get over all the plastic and they leak big time. Around here we have lots of wind and sand and everyone of them has dirt blown into the side boxes.
I didn't put 30,000 on my 01 Z71 before it was sold. I hated it. It couldn't keep an alignment. Was a wus pulling trailers, and push button 4x4 is not my deal.
Back to the 98 Dodge for half the price and lovin it.
H2 hummers around here have not been to impressed with offroad capabilities.

This is what we drive to and from and everything in between. It's a '90 model. I bought it in 1997 and began a career of spending money on it. Everythings new except the paint and that'll happen this winter I hope. Chevy 350ci/350hp crate motor, upgraded 700r4 trans, Detroit Locker in the rear, Auburn limited slip in the front, 4:10 gears, 4" lift via new springs, high output alternator, dual gel cell bateries, Yukon axles, all new hvy duty u joints in drive shafts and front axles, Warn locking hubs, rear disc brakes, hydro boost non vacuum brake system, Holley throttle body fuel injection, new computer, not a chip,...whew... that wore me out. I left out most of the stuff, I didn't want to bore you. It does real good in deep slick mud of west Texas or the loose, slick rocks in Del Rio. Also does great in the slick slop of southeast Texas. It has heat in the winter and much cold air in the summer. Sometimes when we're way back in the middle of nowhere I have to remind myself that this is my ride home so I should be careful. We have a lot of fun with it.

She is high performance with all the options, none of the draw backs. Severe money pit though. Oh yea, I like the truck too!

Hey CoonDawg,
I run B.F. Goodrich All Terrain T/A tires. The work real well on the highway and are pretty good in the mud. I depend on the locking axles for the real mud performance. The T/A's seem to be a good trade-off for mud and pavement and have extra sidewall protection against thorns. I run 31 x 10.50/15's. Not too big, they still handle well at highway speeds.
