I'm from north east Oklahoma, Me and a couple of friends are looking for the closest place to go shoot some prairie dogs, I've looked on line at some places but dang! Some want as much to hunt them as to hunt deer dang near! Wonderin if someone from this direction might know a close place that does not charge and arm and a leg? I do not mind at all paying but then again I don't want to be ripped off not knowing what I am gettin in to!

Don't know what is closest to you, but if you've never been and want a quality shoot, get with Deadeye or Bozo. They are aways (Southeast New Mexico) from you, but they provide an excellent opportunity to blast a lot of Pdogs. They don't charge an arm and leg. Just carry lots of ammo, especially rimfire (.22LR, 22 MAG, 17 HMR). I wouldn't try looking for anything east of Lawton, try some of the Chamber of Commerces in the western communities. But for a novice best to go with someone who can put you on the dogs. But be aware those feral pdogs, they've been known to attack and don't leave much other than a bloody mess. However, be aware that if you'ver never been Pdoggin before it is very addictive and can/will lead to spending lots of money, myself and several other folks here know that first hand.

We've got rogue p-dogs in vests still running the grounds as of yeaterday. Should be a great season this year. We will be opening up another town this year for hunters also ;D
