Went last June to tex panhandle for prairie dogs. We stayed in Levelland and hunted west and north to Planview. We only had three days to find dogs and shoot. This was our first trip and only had one place to set up to shoot before we left home. We found one small town near Whiteface and one shot out one near Planview. Not sure this year which way to go, north or south of Levelland? South would get us closer to Hobbs and north would take us towards Muleshoe. Any advice about prairie dog populations in panhandle would be appreciated. Mike Cockcroft "Ackleyman"

Lots of ariculture in that area, hince no dogs. Get with chamber of commerces in the areas that you intend to shoot they have been a great source for me and the guys I shoot with. If you want to go on a quality shoot talk to Bozo or Deadeye, or sign up for the Posse pdog shoot, it should be a blast lots of dogs around Hobbs. They are kinda of spotty in the area you were shooting in, but there are some there.
