Can someone help me score my Axis Deer I shot this last year in October. It's the only one I've ever shot and I know nothing about scoring them. The guy that did the shoulder mount said it was a "Gold Medal" deer. When I asked him he said it's just an amount of inches that an Axis deer has to have. Like the "Boone and Crocket" of Exotics is how he put it..Here is a pic. I don't know many of the measurements but I do know that the main beams are 33" long..

Hey Hank!! Nice axis!! They were most likely talking about the Records of Exotics scoring system and here is a link to the form used www.roe.texaswildlife.net/Forms/Axis%20Deer%20Form.pdfMake sure and let us know how it comes out! If you can't open the PDF file, let me know and I'll scan and email one to you. If you want to register him after ya see how big he is, I can meet up with ya and fill out the form, I'm a certified scorer for ROE. Thats some good eatin' there, where did you take him??
