Kelly, I think ICM was talking about aerial gunning with his Super Black Eagle to take care of the offending gobblers.......technically, he would not be a guest then, right? ;D Bob

Kellyg here's my secret to getting rid of the turkeys (this does work I get about 2 each year) DRive fast through the place and hitem with the mirrors from the truck. ;D You might have to duck every once in a while in case one comes through the windshield I'M VERY SERIOUS.

I'm an offical with the TPRA (Turkey Population Reduction Administration), and therefore would be acting on official business, and consequently WOULD NOT BE A GUEST! ;D (that'll work .... won't it?)

kellyg since you are now without a gun barer , I hereby offically offer my services ;D. You can fire me for being clumsy and falling down making the shotgun discharge after I pick up the 2 birds. ;D Now you know I have to be punished so sent me home with the birds and make me clean them

You guys crack me up ;D ;D I've decided to go turkey hunting next time to the lease (today or tomorrow) and see if I can see some d**n DEER!!! I've got a plan for those little buggers! Last time up, I had a flock roost about 75yds or so in front of me and another roost right behind me. The first one that landed behind me scared the bejeebers out of me and I was sure glad I had a safety belt on!

:-/Hey Kellyg... we just got back from our lease at Robert Lee and saw more TURKEYS than we could fling a stick at! They have their favoritie feeder already marked and stayed there for the two days we were there! It also became obvious that the deer are MOON burned already! Nothing during the day, but all over the place at night!

JD, I feel your pain! I think I'm gonna go to the lease for a day or so and see if I can bring a turkey home. Still hoping a deer shows up but I've only seen them right at dark so far.

I got two suggestions for ya. The first is if you have digital timers reset them to go off 30 or so minutes later in the morning. This way when they come in early there is nothing there for them to feed on and will move on. The second suggestion is for you to get all the guys together on your lease and see what their thoughts are in subleasing the spring turkey season out - help offset the cost of the lease and reduce part of the turkey population. Just my .02 cents.

Hey Kellyg, Im new to the board but not to turkey hunting, if you have never hunted turkeys in the spring....you don't know what your missing. You know that feeling you get when that big ol' buck comes in to your rattling....well, just think about calling a big ol' tom as he hits the ground on a nice spring morning, you make a few yelps to him and he roars back with a gobble from about 30 yrds off that will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck, you keep calling and he keeps gobbling and you finaly drop him at about 15 yrds....man what a rush...if you have never tried it....man you are missing out. I was a long time deer hunter until I tried that ever addicting spring time turkey hunting...man the Rio's are so vocal in the spring it's wild. Took my Brother-in-Law(a big time deer hunting guide) this past spring on his first spring hunt, called in 6 longbeards and when he finaly pulled the trigger on one of them, it was 8 steps away....he said he started shaking just like when them big ol' bucks come out. You have to try it...but this is also a fair warning.....it's addicting...I will not take blame for anything that happens to you from here on out. Some people have to go to rehab after this addiction takes hold. ;D If you need any tips or advice on Turkey hunting or calling... I would be more than happy to help out. You said you can't take any hunting guest on your ranch...how about a personal guide ...I don't need to pull the trigger......the calling them in is what gets me pumped. Shane
