Thought you might wanna see this!! ;D We saw about 9 different flocks this past week, none of em were very worried about us even drivin by in my diesel!!! Oh yeah, and the alarm system on my truck makes a perfect turkey call!! ;D I kept clickin it on and off and man they would go to chatterin!! Just thought I would show ya this and rub it in a bit!!

I saw Turkey like that last year Deer hunting at the Haun Ranch. I guess that area over by Victoria/ Cuero is good Turkey country.

:o8 must be the magic number for turkeys! I saw 3 groups of toms, 8 in each group. 2 groups of hens with 8 in each group. That was Saturday; Sunday morning only saw one group of toms and no hens in groups.

Hey Texppr -
I have taken three gobblers off the Hahn ranch - the largest one had a 12 inch beard, 1 3/8 inch spurs and weighed about 21 pounds!
My spring turkey lease is about 5 miles from there and is also on Coletto Creek. Country is just full up with turkeys and hardly any of the locals hunt them.
