Just wondering how many turkey hunters we have here that use a gun made specifically for turkey hunting when it was manufactured as opposed to a field or waterfowl gun tweaked up a little for turks. What's everbody use?
I use a Beretta M390 3" Mag. with an Undertaker choke and Win. Supremes in #5's.

After it left "MY" custom shop it was a custom Turkey Gun. I use a Rem 870 Express Mag, Super full turkey choke, 28 in. barrel with my own personal camo job. Some don't like the long barrel, but it throws a GREAT pattern, I can deal with the little extra length and fiber optic sights. I'll match it up with any factory turkey gun.......or should I say....its a redneck custom turkey gun. ;D

Dazzle I took my Turkey last year with my mossburg 835 but I ordered a Camo Turkey Barrel for my TC. I hope this one will be the best and last Turkey gun I need.

I've shot quite a few turkeys over these many years, most of them shot with my old 1100 shooting 2 3/4 #4 turkey loads, it has a fixed full choke. I've used other guns but seem to always go back to what I have faith in. I have a Bennelli Nova 3 1/2 inch that I thought would be the answer, but the challenge to me is to get them really close before the shot, so the 2 3/4 works just fine for me. If they lock up at extended ranges, oh well they lock up. At this point some use a rifle, I wouldn't but thats my choice and not everybodies, remember the challenge to me is top good enough on the calls to bring em close.

I shoot (or hope to) an amazingly beautiful Armsport 20 ga O/U (full/mod), it was made in Italy in the mid 1950's, my dad purchased it new, fired a few rounds (I think two at once) decided he hated the double triggers and put it away in the gun closet. There it sat, waiting for me, for over 50 yrs... We do have my Uncle Paul's Nikko (sp?) 12 ga, which is an incredible shooter, but since he passed away none of us has the heart to use it... hard to shoot with yer eyes all watery. If I have to walk far, or thrash through much brush, I'll bring the trusty "Nighthawk" my uncle's field gun, which is now mine. It's a 40's era Ithaca 37 2 3/4" 12 ga w/mod bbl, that my uncle the tool and die maker lapped and polished til the action is like butter, it has a "fern tiger" camo job I did myself, and if it kills turkeys half as good as it did ducks I'll be in for a limit as usual! Definitely not turkey specific models, but all patterned for shell preference, and more than capable of slinging lead in a tight group. Krusty
