Shot Size

I use #5's, just wondering what everyone else uses.

Shane I used my Mossburg 835 3 1/2 Winchester Supreme 2 3/4, 1 5/8oz, #6 shot to get my Turkey last year. Which turned out to be a 41 yard shot, and he never even flopped. The Tax man said he had a hard time skinning him in the head/neck area to mount.

I shot my TC yesterday and at 20 yard's with 2 3/4 inch #5 shot I had 189 hit's inside a 12 inch circle. With 2 3/4 #6 shot I had 220 hit's in a 12 inch circle.

My pattern was just a little high and to the right with the sight's moved as much as possible, Well I guess I get to use a scope/aimpoint on it to bring the pattern to center.

I started out using Federal HV #4's for a couple years and then switched to Winchester Duplex loads and really liked them. Missouri outlawed the use of #2's a couple years ago and I quit using the the Duplex loads for all my turkey hunting. After patterning several loads the Win. Supremes 3" #5's is what I've been shooting the last few years.

I shoot 3" #5,s IM choke, Hevi Shot

I shoot whatever patterns best in my gun-I 'm going to get out and pattern it this weekend using differet loads.

I shoot an SBE with x-full choke, 3.5 2.25oz #5 win. supreme double XX.

2 3/4 inch buffered mag ... fed.rem, win .... i dont care which..... like the rem 4 x 6 duplex..... #4, # 5 . #6. have had good luck with all of em....favorite.... #5 shot.

i shoot 5`s seems to be a good compromise.
