DEADLINE TO ENTER CONTEST IS APRIL 1ST
CONTEST ENDS JUNE 1ST
I thought this would be fun for us all. Here is the scoop. I will donate a custom made slate call from Ray Tompkins aka RayTomCalls, here is his link to give you an idea of what you will win www.raytomcalls.com/pages/3/index.htm Mr. Tompkins makes one of the BEST custom slate calls I have ever heard, they SCREAM like glass.
Heres how were going to play. What I want is the beard length and the spur length. Since alot of you do not have a set of scales on hand, were doing away with weight. Here is how I want them measured and tallied. Be sure to note that all measurements are taken in 1/16-inch increments and converted to decimal form.
1. For the beard, measure the beard length and convert it to decimal form. A beard must be measured from the center point of the protrusion of the skin to the tip. If you have a non-typical bird with multiple beards, measure the longest beard only!!!
2. Next, measure each spur. Spurs must be measured along the outside center, from the point at which the spur protrudes from the scaled leg skin to the tip of the spur. Now add the two spur lengths together and convert it to decimal form, this figure will be your total lenght for your spurs.
3. Now add your total Beard length and your total Spur length together in decimal form. This is your Total score on your Turkey.
4. Since this is "MY HARD EARNED MONEY" I'm spending on the call, please be "HONEST" and make sure the Spurs and Beard come off of the "SAME" Bird. Also, "CLOSE UP PHOTOS" must be posted of the beard and spurs being measured.
Only registered Posse members may enter.
Good luck to all.
