As an FYI, we are starting to see geese down here. saw my first small flock a day or so ago.
The cold front still hasn't hit, so the vast mafority of birds are still well further North of us.

Thats what the guys at the place I am going deer hunting later in the month are saying too. wait for a cold front.I guess it doesn't matter if its Katy or Hondo, Geese or deer .lol
I swear there's deer everywhere!! Unfortunately since it's hot as heck again they are moving real early 4:00am to 5;00am and real late I 've had a couple of hog hunters say they have seen 8 pointers and does feeding at 9:30 at night! But I know the weather is going to change and we have already taken a couple of good animals during the bow hunts.. Lets look for good clear COLDER weather by Turkey Day!!

Was getting ready to leave my shop this evening at about 5PM and had about 1000 or so sandhill cranes fly over.
Had never seen so many before.

Saw and heard lots of geese and sandhills flying over the last couple days with this most recent front. Mostly dark geese, haven't been seeing too many light geese, guess I'm not in their flight path much. Lots of ducks coming through also.

:)BEING HERE IN WACO, I DON'T LIVE TOO FAR FROM THE CONFLUENCE OF THE BOSQUE AND BRAZOS RIVERS, WE SEE 1000 OF DUCKS, GEESE, AND CRANES EACH YEAR. ALREADY WE HAVE SEEN SEVERAL HUGE FLOCKS OF GEESE AND CRANES.
ALSO, ON OUR LEASE IN ROBERT LEE, WE ARE BETWEEN THE COLORADO AND CONCHO RIVER FLYWAYS AND WE'VE SEEN SEVERAL FLOCKS THE PAST FEW WEEKS.
IT SHOULD PICK UP THIS WEEK, WITH ANOTHER COLD FRONT MOVING IN!
