Took a couple guys out NE of katy Sunday:
Scouted Saturday and had about 600 piled up in the same spot we put the spread out in. Good company, but only had 2 that wanted to commit suicide. Those geese have PHD's by now, come toward the spread locked up, about 200 yards out slide around off the sides. Wanted nothing to do with TX rags this morning. Wind was good and made the rags move around. Got overflown quite a bit by a lot, most all of them were out of range, though. Had a roost North and East of us and I think it was just tough to compete with all the live decoys within seeing distance.
On the bright side we saw a couple hundred ducks, mostly pins high up and most of them heading north to south. Maybe this front is pushing some down? Remains to be seen.
