Anyone one out there ever tried to hatch phesant eggs. if so any info would be great. Thanks I just got my incubator and waiting till I get some eggs in a month or so from now. I plan to use them to train my GSPs.

cds, I use to raise pheasant, quail , etc. if you didn't get an egg turner with the incubator try and get one , turning those eggs everyday gets to be a pain. You've got to keep the humidity just right also. If you haven't done so, lay hands on any books on the subject. Theres more to it than one would think, if you want to raise a lot of them. You will also need a brooder, start pens and flight pens. The reason for the start pens is to keep the older birds away from the young ones , they will kill them, so you have to let them get big enough to get away from the older birds. It just goes on and on, but once you get the hang of it , it can be fun. It has been a while since I was raising them, but I'll surely share anything I can remember, just give me a holler.

;D Thanks Ben, I did get a tuner with the incubator and I am in the process of looking for all the info I can gather. My son used to work on a comercila phesant and chukar farm in highschool before he went to school (job description, egg collector lol). I am waitng for him to come home and give his input also.
