OK........We are set for our first Member's Hunt! ;D
We are going to do a south Texas hog hunt with Texas Wild near Pleasanton, TX. It is about 45 minutes south of San Antonio. The hunt is a two-day hunt from noon Friday to noon Sunday, Feb. 6-8. We are going to be able to take 10 hunters. The cost of the hunt is only $200.
This is a semi-guided two day, two night hunt and each hunter can take two hogs. Texas Wild will have a guide meet our group, give us a tour of the ranch and a map with the blinds marked. You will be on your own after that. You will need suitable transportation while on the ranch. Help in locating downed animals and dressing harvested game is available on a pay as you go basis: $25-$35 to skin, dress, quarter and put in ice chest.
Texas Wild will have lights on the feeders so we can hunt at night also. If you have a light with a red lens, you may want to bring it also.
We will be staying in two cabins within shouting distance of each other. We will bring our own food......should have lots of venison right after deer season!! As we get closer to the hunt, we can figure out who will bring what.
This will be a fun hunt. It will give us a chance to get to know each other and swap some tale tales!!
To reserve your spot, mail me a deposit check for $100 payable to: Texas Wild. As soon as you have mailed the deposit, make a post in the sign up thread that you are coming on the hunt. The first ten members to mail the deposit are goin' hog hunting!! As soon as I have all of the deposits, I will mail them to David at the ranch.
