I usually stop at the Old San Francisco Steakhouse when in San Antonio, have never been let down on a prime rib there. But if someone is cookin some chicken fried elk I'm there.

chicken fried elk....hmmmm . whats the reciepe?? besides the meat. I plan on having a lot of venison here in the next few months and could use some other ways to cook it.

:DI use Stubb's Marinade and just grill my elk steaks over pecan wood! Almost like being in heaven, especially if we had some of that home brew! ;D

Stubb's! Man I thought that I was the only one that knew about Stubb's. That's some pretty good stuff that he puts out. I'm gonna hafta find his place in Austin and check it out.

Count me in for a freek elk dinner ;D If you want Steak in S.A. you have to go to the Barn Door, they have a ladies steak for you guys 24oz; that can't handle one of the big boys 52 & 72oz ;D ;D

Man, the Barn Door was there in 1962 when I was a kid. Was my Dad's favorite restaurant back then (along with Karams) ..... Surprised that it is still around...... And the hunt is going to be when? ? ;D ;D ;D
