pet snakes...............i dont think so....at least not on purpose... i reckon i did share my house with a snake one time......'bout 20 years the wife and i were living along the red river( the good side of the river). we had just got back from a trip to wichita fall, tx. it was late and my wife decides to take a shower. well our old house was one where u cant run the washer or dish washer and take a shower at the same time. so she sticks her head out from behind ther bedroom door and says "honey, would u turn off the washer"? now i am sitting in my recliner with nothing on but my birthday suit ( waitin for my sexy wife to get out of the shower). so i jump at her first command  and come down on something in the floor. before i could react i had been bitten three times by this six foot long snake. i screamed and jumped to the ceiling. luckily he wern't no rattler. he crawled off under the couch . i had wife fetch me on of her umbrellas and i pinched him against the wall and hauled his sorry a$$ out in the yard and shot his head off my 1100 28 ga. when i ask my wife why she did not tell me there was a 6 ft. snake laying in front of my chair she said " well, u know i saw that thing there in the floor and thought it was a rubber snake that u put there to scare her. i said " where in the hell would i get a 6 ft. rubber snake.......women  now one thing that we never had in that old house was mice or rats...... that snake done us a service that we were not aware of....i just could not stand the thought of finding that rascal in the baby bed with our young uns. so i guess we had a pet snake and did not realize we did.. i aint skeered of snakes....but i do respect em. okcoyote |

Hey JD,
After watchin Bob eat down here i dont believe he ever had anything left to STASH in them holes.....Definitley wasnt on the Atkins Diet ......was up all night snackin in the Hilton....

Hey ICM, You mean You, Aggie and Kellyg really didnt like turnin rocks over and diggin in holes lookin for snakes with me on the Ram Hunt in Robert Lee.....I THOUGHT you guys were just kidding......  Naw, didn't bother me none - I just didn't lose anything down those holes so I didn't have any reason to look for something.......  BTW - Have you drug any women through the cactus lately?? |
