Makes you wonder who is hunting who. I might want to move up to the .338 Win Mag if I were hunting that property.

OK, Let me start by saying I do not believe in BIGFOOT! But on the other hand I sure hope they are not migrating north!!!!!! Just what we need! Bigfoots roaming around eating our deer and stinkin up our woods, You Texas folk just better keep these big smelly things to yourselves! We don't want any!

I don't have enough evidence to say that I believe in them, but then again I'm not prepared to say that they don't exist either. If someone, who was known to be credible to me, showed me some evidence, then I might be open to the possibility. If this is a big hoax, It probably wouldn't be smart to pick me as their victim.

I'm with doorgunner, I have no proof but I don't NOT believe in them. I had an experience up near Llano a couple of years ago that put me back at camp in a hurry....

Well, in Arkansas we reportedly have the Fouke monster, very similar to "Bigfoot". They even made a movie in the 70's about him.."Legend of Boggy Creek", or something like that. At any rate, I don't believe in them either...I can say this....if anything I percieve to be one of those approaches me....he better have on his body armor So, as DG said, if this a hoax, and being perpetrated by a man in a custume, he should avoid my area........ It's funny how when a topic like this starts up, there are a lot of people who (like me) are very apprehensive about posting about it. I almost skipped over this topic completely. The funny thing about this bigfoot thing is that, although I tend to believe that it's not real, there is a small part of me that want's to believe they exist. Wouldn't it be cool to have undeniable proof that these things exist? It sure would add some spice to walking to my deer blind in the dark every morning.

now i dont believe none of this east texas bigfoot stuff. most people knows that the bigfoots were a tribe of indians. we recall the crow, the blackfeet and the bigfoots. they were from the pacific northwest. none ever reported this far south and sure not as far east as east texas............no , what i think ......now this is just an opinion......recall the rattlesnake tale about big geroge. he said he had a 52 inch waist..... and the pictures i have seen of big george shows him to purty tall....i'm thinking that g.w has been traipsin 'round over there in east texas. more than likely tryin to find some of those east texas black bears to hunt with a switch......could it be....... now big g. i dont me no offense by this. but this would sure solve some of the mystery.

The largest black bear that your going to find in the east Texas piney woods, might weigh 150 lbs. sopping wet. My dad grew up in those woods when there were a reasonable black bear population. I doubt that's the answer to the mystery. It's either the real deal, a figment of someone's imagination, or a hoax. My theory at this point is that it's either the real deal, or someone's imagination.

I'm a skeptic when it comes to bigfoot, black panthers, etc.......but not as much as I once was.......
Several years ago, I was visiting my parents south of Springfield MO......it was around Christmas and my brother in law and I decided to take our recurve bows down along the James river.....we were stump shooting and stalking squirrels and rabbits.......he decided to walk down a bit closer to the river while I stayed up on a slight ridge..........I was standing still against a tree and watching the bottom to see if he pushed something out........he did......and I couldn't believe my eyes! I saw it coming directly toward me......I looked at my bow and thought about the ruger single six loaded with 22 shorts in a shoulder holster.......I left both of them where they were and didn't make a move....... the "thing" passed within 10 yards of me......I could see it as clearly as I can see the keyboard I'm typing this on.....it was a wolf! :oNope, it wasn't a big coyote.......I've killed a pile of coyotes and this wasn't one.......nope, it wasn't a dog.......at least not like any dog I've ever seen........it was a wolf.........not as big as the wolves from way up north.......but it was darn sure a wolf! I'd guess it would go 80 to 100 pounds......... reminded me of the photos I've seen of the wolves they released in the Yellowstone area.........it was obvious from watching it that this big guy wasn't someone's pet!
Now, when someone tells me they saw a black panther while they were deer hunting......well, I still figure they were seeing things, but I don't dismiss it as BS like I once would have......... ;D
