Well.... since you asked ICM. I was bow hunting south of Llano in February about three years ago and was in a tripod. There was a creek about 35 yds behind me I could just barely hear and the feeder was about 20 yds away. I had been there since around 4pm with no hogs in sight, darkness had fallen and all the night sounds had started. There weren't a lot of bugs etc since it was so early in the year but there was a constant background noise of things moving through the grass etc. Along about 11pm, all the sounds went away and just about the time I realized all I could hear was the creek, there was a new sound. It came from right behind me, between me and the creek and the only way I can describe it is if someone picked up two BIG rocks and was grinding them together. I don't mind admitting it made me jump because it was CLOSE and LOUD! I turned toward the noise and strained as hard as I could but didn't see anything. Then the noise stopped and I listened as hard as I could because I figured anything that could make that loud a noise, I would hear moving.....nothing. I decided the hogs probably weren't coming to that feeder and got the he$$ outta there! When I got back to camp, I told the guide what had happened and he told me about the outfitter and an experience he had the year before where he heard something big running through the brush breaking limbs, he hauled a$$ too! They found limbs broken off 8 ft above the ground the next day. I've hunted there since but not near that creek. ps. I've seen the Marfa lights too and it isn't somebody with a flashlight or the reflection of headlights either

Thats a good enough reason for me NOT to hunt with just a bow.

HERE'S MY SCARY STORY!!!!!!
It was 1985 on a cool oct. night I was walking alone and I could here a distant loud noise and it easy the most erataiting sound that you ever herd It was like nails across a black board it sent chills down my spine. You know when the hair stands up on the back of your neck. As I approached it I could see it now it had red hair long, stood 5’10’’ to 6’ it had a slender build and was moving slow in the other direction and I was as close to it as I wanted to be at the time. As I moved slowly a way I just could not get it out of my mind it’s all I thought about. I never had a run in with it agen. TILL late in November I was out stalking and there it was just 15 feet away and I just knew I had to do something before I lost the trophy of a live time. So I moved on it like a cat I was I slowed my stalk way down and when I got close enough that it could here me I just sad (how are you doing) and we bin to gather since then, and married for 6 grate years That’s my scary story
