Gary Saurage here I followed this sight from PM. I am from Beaumont Texas. I work in Federal Law Enf. I have lots of good calling land and I am always looking for someone to help me call coyotes.

Gary, Glad you made it over here. Maybe we can find a few more East Texas Predator hunters. I've got some new places if you want to come up this way sometime. Most will have to wait until after deer season though.

Hey!!... Hope I have the right place!!! This site looks great and I have already learned a few things! I live in central TX near Temple on IH-35, I'll go by Hotshot, not because of shooting skills( this is my first year to belong to the great sport of hunting)but from my job. I'm a firefighter with the city of Temple and wouldn't have it any other way!!! Like I said this is my first year hunting and I am looking forward to learning all about all of it. I will not be very active until after Dec. 5th because of a promotional exam at work, after that look out!!!!

Hey Hotshot,
Welcome to the Posse!!! We have a lot of talent here you can tap to help flatten your learning curve. We will also do several Member's Hunts each year, so keep an eye out to sign up for them.
I wish you luck on the exam!!
Good Hunting,

Bob--I just found the link to your new board over at Predator Masters. Nice setup. I'll be dropping in once in awhile and look forward to reading various topics and picking up lots of good information.
My weapons for coyote hunting are a Tikka Master Sporter in 22-250 caliber shooting 40 gr. Nosler BTs at about 4,100 fps and a custom built .17 Remington on a blueprinted Remington BDL action, with a light trigger spring and adjusted to about 2 1/2 pounds of pull with a 26" SS fluted Lilja barrel with 4 grooves and a 1 in 9" twist. I found a decent load for the 30 gr. Starke Red Prairie Varmint bullets a couple weeks ago that sends them out the muzzle at about 3,900 fps. I haven't been out doing much serious calling yet because the coyotes aren't quite prime yet up here, but close. I bagged one coyote about a week ago with this load and a 220 yard broadside shot did not exit the body. I didn't look real close, but I didn't see the entrance hole either. Maybe I scared him to death. It was a young male from this year's litter.
I purchased a FoxPro 16-sound model with remote about 3 years ago and along with that I 8-)mix in lots of mouth call sounds as well.

Hey Silverfox, Welcome to the Posse! If you are the Silverfox I know from North Dakota, I just have to ask ya a question......why the heck did you register as a woman? Any recent operations you want to share with us??? It sounds like you are pretty well dialed in for the season. I still remember those drives I used to make from Wolf Point to Williston for Sunday supper back in the 80's........ If you are another Silverfox, and truly are a woman, my deepest apology!! Bob ;D

Hey Buzzsaw,

Welcome to the Posse! Please jump in and make yourself at home. We are a regional "little brother" to PM.

Kinston, Alabama is on the exact opposite end of the state from Anniston. I live about 5-10 minutes from the Florida line. About 1 hour 15 minutes from Panama City Beach, Florida. About 1 hour 30 minutes from Pensacola, Florida.
My town has around 400 people in it.
A lot of rivers, creeks and other running streams as well as a good many lakes.
Thanks, Hunter Claus
