Hey bushmaster,
Welcome to the Posse! You are truly in a "target rich environment"! I personally have found the 22-250 very effective on hogs with a 60 gr. Partition or a good 55 gr. Soft Point placed right behind the ear. They drop in their tracks.
Good Hunting,
Bob

Howdy Ya'll. Bob has invited me over to these boards a few times and I FINALLY took him up on the offer. Nice looking Message Board Bob. My name is Hank Shear and I'm a Firefighter/Paramedic full-time and I do www.hickbuilt.com as my side business. I am primarily a Hog hunter but I used to run a trap line from the age of 11 till I was 17 or so. I used to call a lot as well. Now I just use my 22 Hornet for hogs. Sometimes I get to knock down a varment with it but I mostley shoot hogs..Glad to finally post over here. I hope to meet some new friends ..I live up at Canyon Lake..Not far from San Antonio.. I guess I'll see ya'll around on the boards..Adios'

My name is Mitch and I have been a "wanta be" predator hunter for nearly 35 years. By training I am a Mechanical Engineer but have worked as a tool and Die maker for the last 25 years. At present, I'm working as a liason engineer on the military side of Boeing. Have done most of my own gunsmith work over the years and reload for nearly 75 calibers and gauges.
