Hey Y'all,
I have a favor to ask. It really helps to see where everyone is located. Please click on "Profile" at the top of the page. Then just scroll down to "Personal Text" and type your city and state in there. If you don't want anyone to know where you are, that is fine too......no problem.
Thanks,
Bob

Bob, I dunno why, but mine ain't there(just got the photo to work after reading this post). I filled out all that stuff right from the get-go. I always do... I have a pet peeve about anonymity online, I feel like a person's identity gives them credibility (or at least accountability). It comes from frequenting the climbing sites, I suppose, where the advice someone gives you could lead to your own death, or you could lead others to theirs. Ya gotta know who yer talkin' to! I understand that it is different for us, being as how it's not our life or death in the balance anymore. But like you say, it's a lot easier to at least understand what a guy is talking about by where in the world he is... And then there is the "good neighbor" networking, many guys miss out on, because they don't know who is their neighbor. I can understand from the amount of hate mail I have recieved, why many of you do not list your e-mail accounts... I just would have expected the hate mail to come from antis, not from other hunters (most send anonymously). I applaud you Bob, for using the Private Messages feature of the BB... this way we can at least privately ask one another "where are ya dude?" or solve problems in understanding eachother behind closed doors. Is there any way for me to tell which member # I am? Thanks, Krusty

Hey Krusty,
I set you up. Entering your location under "Location" in your Profile will not show up on the board, only on your Profile when someone looks at it. You need to enter it in "Personal Text"
There is not way to tell your member #. We don't have them......

Hey Bob,
I must be the moron of the week, because I don't see the "Modify" at the top. When I click on profile, I see "Edit Profile", but not Modify. Although my location is shown on that page.
Thanks, ScottD

Hey Scott.
You are correct. I was in the Admin mode. Just click on Profile at the top of the page then scroll down and enter your location in "Personal Text"
Thanks for the heads up!
Bob

Thanks Bob, I am usually pretty good at this BB stuff, just not really familiar with this version. I thought "personal text" was my signature line. Krusty

I'm still playing around with this thing. Bob, this says my age is 1933. I'm not that old. My DOB is correct. The 19 shouldn't be there. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. Never mind, fixed. Just me not paying attn. Brad

For those of you that have listed a location in your profile, I am slowly changing it for you........
If you get the time, please go in to your profile and update it yourself.
Thanks,
Bob
