Just wanted to share this weekend with those who seem to be having a little bad luck lately. Last weekend , 31st and 1st, my brother in law met me at the gate into my place with a couple wild hogs he had shot. I say we met at the gate because it was about 8:oopm and I was called out for work, he was coming in and had already been "celebrating" his good hunt. I told him I would be gone most of the night but would tend to them first thing when I returned; just hang 'em & gut 'em for me. WEELLLLLLLLLL........maybe he had been celebrating longer than I thought. Anyhoo...what a mess! To get to the point, they were wasted as far as meat goes. But all is not lost! They turned into great bait. I drug them off about 250 yds into an open wheat field and the yotes finally found them Friday afternoon. I was still a bit P.O.'d with the bro-in-law but 4 dogs on the ground Friday night, 3 on Saturday night, and 2 more this morning while sitting on the front porch with a good cup of coffee! Even with the full moon, the red light works, winds blowing 20-35 just seemed to make them a little less wary, and all in all a purty good weekend sitting around the house! OK I'll fess up. The last one was shot out of the bathroom window which my loving wife had kindly removed the screen from last month! ;D Gotta love it !
