Well, once again, they have voted to ban "assault weapons". Even the Pres. backed the extension. It seems that we do not truly have anyone on our side in office right now. I would encourage everyone to take five minutes, if you haven't already done so, and write or e-mail your congressmen, senators, and the President to encourage them to stop banning things which don't exist. As much time as many of us spend on this board, it shouldn't be an inconvenience. Our voice matters, especially in an election year. Links to your representatives should be available on the NRA-ILA.org website...

This is just the Senate......it is far from a done deal yet! Delay has said that the issue is dead when it gets to the house.......we will have to wait and see.........and, Bush had asked for a clean bill.....he can always veto it....
I will make one prediction.......if the assault weapons ban passes the house and is signed by Bush.......he will not be re-elected in November...........don't any of these idiots remember what happened to the Dems in 1994 after they passed the first ban? The Republicans took control of both houses!

As per my encouragement, I went to NRA-ILA.org and spent a total of 3 minutes e-mailing my congressmen and senators...
