I heard that!
That looks like some great places you guys were hunting. Should be able to call you a nice cat when you get your Loudmouth. I'll be looking foward to hear about your results.
Only problem I see is if you are using that NEF you better be holding a bullet between your teeth for the second one when you call that double in.
I'm hung up at the house this weekend trying to finish painting.

Bite your tongue no NEF's here, maybe an Encore or 2. I prefer friends over firepower, take out a new hunter for my followup shots

Yessir!
Encore it is. 10-4 on multiple sets of eyes. That always helps. The old classic, "I turned back around and there he was. How did he just appear there?" The early morning or late afternoon color changes also make em appear to change colors to match the conditions. Come to think of it that's why I need a repeater. I'm at a disadvantage!

Sounds like you guys had a blast in more ways than one. 75 yards is about my limit on pdogs, I have a hard time on them much past that though. Maybe next trip the guys will let me take the blind fold off and I'll be able to shoot a little futher. Anyways looks like a great time had by all, what happened to Deadeye's head.

Bennie I think what happened is when Dead Eye bent down and was looking in that pdog hole for a quick meal and a pdog took a chunk out of his scalp. Of course it may have been when he was hunting and someone skipped a bullet off of that titanium skull of his. You do remember seeing the hole in the cab don't ya? I know my next gun will be the next largest caliber than the one that ricocheted off his ole head:)

Great photos. Sounds like you guys had a great time. I'm jealous. Bein a newbie to coyote huntin' I would like to learn how to call here in the Portales/Causey area. The yotes is thick as thieves and taking calves from a friend's dairy. Have a pump shotgun, a .30-06, a collapsable stool, a bad back, some hand calls and desire to rid the world of some pests. Any suggestions?

Steve is that Portales NM? If so you should meet up with me. I have lots of land in Tatum about half way from Hobbs and Portales.

Hey, Bozowise!
Yep, it's Portales, NM. Would love to meet up with you. I hope to have an AR15 converted from service rifle to varmint configuration right after the first of the year. Meeting with you will give me a chance to break it in. ;D
That will also give my back a chance to settle down after getting a spinal injection late this week.

Hey Steve, OUCH! That does not sound like any fun! I hope the back is OK! I hope you can go hunting with Bozo and Dead Eye. They are a hoot and have some fun toys. Good Hunting, Bob

Give me a shout when you want to come down Steve. I just got another 1500 rounds of 223 loaded up last weekend.

I'll do it. What load do you use for .223?
Hey Bob! I'm not having any fun at all right now. Saying lots of prayers asking that this injection will work and keep me from having surgery again. Haven't been able to hunt at all except for one short session at a dog town in Portales with my .17 HMR where I didn't hit a thing. Need to get the rifle and the shooter out someplace to get some practice and find out if I have a problem with the rifle.
