I HAVE A .223 FOR MY RILE HUNTING SPOTS AND I THINK ITS TO DANGEROUS FOR SURRONDING ROADS AND HOMES. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF 22 HORNET WILL EFFECTIVLY KILL COYOTE @ 150-180 YARDS, WITH OUT THE EXCESS TRAVEL UPON A MISS.

You will have the same problems with a hornet that you will with a .223 as far as danger, distance, and back drop. Yes, a hornet will kill coyotes. The .223 is a better overall round. You should never shoot in an area where you aren't 100% sure of your back drop or shoot in a direction where there are people or livestock in your line of fire that an errant shot may endanger. I would look for another spot to call if that is a problem.
Good Hunting,
Bob
