I use a rabitt call and a howler. We set up on a little knowl and got set up . we called for about 15 min. and then finally the firdt one came in straight at use then he stopped about 300 yrds. in front of me, put the cross hairs right on his back and let her go, unfortinate it went right under his belly, oh well guess I educated that one. Then we called again for about 10 min. and the second one came running from the right were my buddy put the cross hairs on it and let her go and shot right under it, so I guess we both were educators today. But it was a fun day and got to see the sunset on a good day of coyote huntin.

It is always fun to get into the field. Sometimes they hang up at 200-300 yards just to get a final fix on the sound. Next time just keep calling or just wait and see if if they keep coming in to 100 yards or so. If they hang up at 100 yards and you don't have a shot, try lip squeaking the "kiss of death" to pull them out. I always try to see how close I can get them.....the one in my lap was a little too close though! ;D
Good Hunting,

Ya it is fun on how close you can get them to you. I think the closes I got one to me was about 30 yrds from me, it was a real hair raiser.
