Most of the hunters at the Graham, Tx contest had to contend with some rain and wind but there were some good totals. It took 8 cats to win (2 teams tied) My partners and I had a good hunt with 4 coyotes and 4 cats which was good enough for 5th place. Big cat weighed 29 1/2 lbs (again 2 tied) and I believe the big coyote was 42 lbs.

This was the first organized hunt I've taken part in. I thought Mr. Kendrick put on a pretty good hunt. We ended up 4th with with 6 cats and one coyote. If I could shoot straight we could have won it since had heavy cat. Maybe next month. We're thinking about the Archer City hunt for this weekend.

No pics, but it was an extremely competitive hunt. The team that finished ahead of us had the same number of points but beat us on number of animals.

Huff, Did you take that big 29 1/2 lb. bobcat? That is one big bobcat. Bob One of my teammates did. He came in with another smaller cat and we were lucky enough to get them both. That kinda got our luck turned around because before that we only had one cat by 2:00 AM. |

You guys are killing me!! We hunted our tails off and ended up DEAD last - pun intended!! We were far enough west to stay away from the rain and all, but we didn't have not one single animal respond to a call the entire time we hunted. We saw a couple coyotes way way off in the distance but that was it. I have been skunked before but not like this - usually it was because my shooting was terrible but I never got the opportunity to take a shot this time. Like Huff said there is always next month. By George we can't do any worse!!! LOL I also lost a bet with a friend that no one would bring in 8 cats - not only did 1 team do it but 2 did. Sorry I missed you two at check in - maybe we can meet up next month
