???my partner and i took the loudmouth out @ 5:00am called in a dog but, me being as smart as i am lost the scope clamp for my red light last week and failed to look for it till this morning,no can find call in dog running back and forth through thistles can hear no can see!! maybe 30 yds away!! made three other sets no dice getting towards 9:30 go to set up & i spot a yote on fence line about 350 yds out settle in to a less than ideal spot,start calling 2pup lip as low as poss. did 3 more calling seq. waited 10 min decided to call it a day, began walking out discusing where the yote went i look out to where it was and it pops out of brush about 200 yds away walking right at us ,began to trot towards us stopped at about 150 turned and looked behind itself and i took her behind the front shoulder. i don't know how she didn't spot us?? s--- house luck i guess.loudmouth was 2 for 5 today thats good for western wa. by the way i got D's in english. i will try the loudmouth @5:00 am tomorrow

I think your english teacher was a little too hard on you. I didn't have a problem in the world getting your hunting story down. Thanks for sharing it with us. Just when you think that you have these yotes figured out, you have one do something stupid and unpredictable. I guess that's what makes them so much fun to hunt.

Hey cgrinn,
Congrats on the hunt! We learn something each time we go out. FYI-When a coyote looks back, it is usually because there is another coyote there coming in also. I say usually, because like DG said, the first rule in coyote hunting is that there are no rules. They will constantly surprise you. That is part of the fun.
