Jack and I went out this morning right at daylight and made a couple of stands before the wind picked up. I loaded some more of my own sounds on my FOXPRO Saturday after I had a cuss fight with a coyote Friday. I could get him to challenge bark and howl, but I couldn't get him to budge. Every time I would challenge him he would challenge me back. I thought it would be a great idea to put the sound on my FOXPRO where I could let it play, sneak to where I could see him and close the deal. Haven't tried that yet, but I'm ready when the opportunity arrises. I also put a couple of other sounds on there and was anxious to try them out. I started our stand with a couple of lonesome howls that I loaded, then went to my other new sound (puppy whines). After about the ten minute mark nothing had shown itself, so I turned my call to the new challenge I loaded, played it for couple of times, switched it back to the puppy whines. About 2 or three minutes later, here she comes. In this picture she is looking at the call as she is trying to get downwind. I bark, she stops. Jack shoots, and down she goes. Good shooting Jack. I like using my hand calls, but with the ability to put your own sounds on a remote sound source you can have the best of both worlds. Good Hunting Byron ;D

Nice going, Byron and Jack!
I bark them in a lot this time of year, although I've had plenty of them hang up just out of sight. I like your idea of putting your challenge bark on your caller. That's a nice feature.
Like you, I have also had good results playing a coyote pup whine with challenge barks in between. I'm starting to mix sounds more and more, especially for call shy coyotes. It's always worked well for cats.
You sure enough had her fooled to come running right out into the middle of that pasture.
Good work

Thanks Guys,
BigMo,
Jack is a big guy. No dought, but that ghille suit makes looks him look broader than he really is. I think he's 6'4"-about 250 #.
Slammy,
There was a breeze blowing out into that field. We hear the coyote to the right of where she was, howling in the mornings. We suspected it would come from that dirrection. We set up to where she would have to expose herself to get the wind advantage. It don't alway's work, but when it does its great. Also, there was a slight rise in that field that's you can't hardly see in the pictures. She had to stay on this side to see where the sound was coming from. Again exposeing herself.
Bob and I were talking earlier today on the subject of setting up. I alway's try and get as many things in my favor as possible, and use their assets against them. Their biggest asset is their nose. Their eyes, and ears can be decieved, but it's almost impossible to fool their nose. Don't get me wrong I get busted plenty too. But that's why I love it.
Good Hunting
Byron ;D
