Mark,
Just get the above. It is easy to use and carry in the truck, has all of the lands color coded, and the roads. It is updated more that the BLM maps are. I use one for each State I hunt. With this you can get the data for the whole state for what a few BLM/USGS maps will cost.

"Whatever your back country pleasure -- hiking, fishing, rock hounding, wildlife viewing or just taking in nature's splendor -- you'll enhance your enjoyment with the New Mexico Atlas & Gazetteer! This beautiful collection of topographic maps includes a unique public lands locator map.
In addition, the individual map pages are color-coded to clearly show Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and state lands. There are 13 Gazetteer categories, including attractions/museums, state and national lands, tribal lands, scenic drives and unique natural features to name just a few.
The scale for state maps is 1:300,000 and 1:29,000 for the city maps. The New Mexico Atlas & Gazetteer also includes tick marks that show latitude and longitue at 1-minute intervals to aid in using GPS (Global Positioning Systems) positioning data."
