Hey Hooter, I was planning to go out hunting tomorrow, but a job came up and I guess I'll have to put it off. I'll bet we could have fun together, tryin to fool ol wylie. Course, I don't live in New Mexico, but not far, over in Andrews. Maybe we can get together sometime? Later, Bob (gunsetc)

Sorry to hear that Hooter. I hope she gets to feeling better. I am heading out in about an hour to do some calling on a new ranch out west. I hope you get a chance for a little calling this weekend, the weather is looking real good. Take care and good luck.

Three stands this morning. 0 predators and 1 broken Loudmouth remote. Almost enough to make me sick at my stomach. Good tracks everywhere I went. These predators are wearing me down. Hooter

Hooter,
What do you mean by one broken Loudmouth remote?

We started calling around 2:30pm on Saturday and didn't quit until 9:00am this morning. No pictures were taken but we managed to take 5 coyotes and 0 bobcats. This was a new place for us to hunt and we saw tons of game - antelope by the hundreds, several nice whitetail bucks, thousands of jackrabbits and lots of blue and bobwhite quail. This place is has more calling spots than 3 people can hunt in a weekend!! Thats not a joke either. We will be going back in a couple of weeks for some more - planning on taking a camera and maybe my camcorder this trip.
As far as broken equipment goes we managed to rip off one shooting rail off the truck rack, ruin a tailgate and tried real hard to end our hunt before it started. Will be posting some more on how the new .223 wssm preformed as well.

Hey captkb, That sounds like a great hunt! Be sure to start a new thread about the .223 WSSM and post some photos if you have them!! It sounds like it may have been a "costly" hunt as well... Bob
