My hunting buddy and I have made a few half hearted attempts to call coyotes here in Walker county, without much success. We kill quite a few coyotes each year while deer or hog hunting or just riding around. Last week we decided to get serious about calling. Made two stands and got one dog at each stand. Thought we had this calling stuff mastered. Next evening we went out and got, you guessed it, nothing. Going to try again Sunday.
My new .250 Ackley Improved is hard on on a coyotes internal organs.
Just finished mounting a Nightforce NXS 5.5x22x56 on my 22-250. Going to shot some loads thru it tomorrow,
should be death on praire dogs in a few months.
