Have you ever pulled your rifle up and it hits your calls and POOF he disappeares like a ghost.? It was early, bearly could see out 150 yards. I startd howling and within 3 min. I heard the prairie grass crunch behind me. I looked over my shoulder and nothing. A minute later heard it again. I was up about 15-20 feet from the path that was mowed. There he was trotting real slow in front, trying to wind me. I pulled my rifle up and POOF he was gone and I had no idea where he went. I took hunting a kid I coach in football and who bought some of my calls. He was to the side of me about 50 yds. He didn't see him at all. If my rifle wouldn't have hit my calls he would of been mine. Thats my mistake. Learn and learn again.
God Bless

H append once, doesn't happen any more,I tuck my calls inside my coat. They really make a noise on those synthetic stocks.Better luck next time.It really stinks when you ball it up yourself.
