Mick, Those little "squeeze bulbs" are good to have, I have one taped to the side of my shotgun, so I can use my trigger finger to squeek em in closer. My brother had the chance to try it on a pair that came to his side of the stand... they'd check up, and he'd squeek. He said it was like someone push started them moving again. Several times they stopped, he squeeked and they'd come even closer. Too bad unfamiliarity, with his new gun's saftey, let them end up getting away... He did manage to wing one, but after a half mile through VERY thick wet brush we lost the faint blood trail. We keep expecting a limping coyote to show up at "the deer graveyard" stand. Or a lion. I just use a lip squeak. Its just as effective as a rubber squeaker and I dont have to have another piece of equipment to think about. If a coyote is close enough to hear the rubber squeaker, he's close enough to hear a lip squeak. If you've got your heart set on a rubber bulb type squeaker, go to a pet shop and buy a squeaky dog toy, cut it open and remove the squeaker. It'll be pretty much the same thing and you dont have anything to order and wait on.

Thanks for the replies guys and thanks for that bit of advice about the squeeze toys Rancher, never even considered that as an option. I will head down to the local pet store and grab one of those fake mouse toys and rip its guts out and then let the dogs finish it off! ;D Good Hunting.. Mick

Bob, I am so glad you are so glad! lol They weren't doing me any good, we don't have any foxes to speak of, and I never did figure out what I thought I was going to do with 22 of the things?!? I hope you do well with them, let us know how the field testing goes... there's been a lot of guys asking if they work well on grey foxes. How the heck would I know? lol Krusty

sorry Bobcat for not reading your request in time! I have been away for a bit. Were you talking about the little Tin Button Fox whistles we have here? If so, i dont know if they work on Grey Foxes as we only chase Reds here. American Sceery calls will get the Foxes to come from further out than the Button but the Button seems to get them closer when they are within earshot of it. Let me know how they work for you in the US... Mick..

Hey Mick, Yup, those are the ones! I really just wanted to add one to my collection. I have been seeing and hearing about them for years.......just never had one. I agree with you about ol' Ed's calls......they are top notch and very easy to use. I wish we had more reds around here! Good Hunting, Bob
