I have been reading about the electronic game call in this forum and they all sound great but I am having some trouble decieding between the fox-pro and the loudmouth. It is about to drive me crazy trying to make up my mind. Gamecalls.net has the fox-pro with 32 sounds with a remote for $519 and allpredatorcalls has the loudmouth with 16 sounds and a remote for $569. I would mainly use the unit for coyote fox hunting, I also turkey hunt but electronic calls are legal for tukrey hunting here. Any (unbiased) help with my decision making would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hey buddy,
I don't know why no one has responded to your post. (or maybe I do,Ha Ha). The Loudmouth looks real promising , but it's brand new on the market. There are a lot of guys buying and trying it though so you should get some feedback pretty soon. I have heard good things about it's performance. The Foxpro is has been around for a while and a whole lot of guys swear by them. My suggestion would be to ask Byron South, he's a Pro who uses a Foxpro caller. He's a moderator on the Coyote, Bobcat, forum of this board. I have used several different electronic callers and really rely on electronic callers more than mouth calls (no movement). That's just my opinion.

Hello Olddog, I am Wayne Buckley the owner of Loudmouth calls. Obviously my opinion is biased, but truthful and accurate. If you would like to read some additional information and reviews on the Loudmouth, go to www.predatormasters.com and look under electronic calls. Read the first two pages about the Loudmouth caller. The best thing to do is email or call unbiased Loudmouth owners that are NOT Loudmouth pro staff. The Loudmouth caller was designed over 3 years ago which I can prove. The only change in this time was to the FCC approved remote control. I was not satisfied with the distance of our remote and hired an RF specialist to resolve our issues. The circuitry has stayed the same in our main caller. If a caller is altered or changed, such as additional features added, it is basically a new product with potential new problems that could take time to identify and resolve. I have heard this nonsense of proven and has stood the test of time all to often, yet additional features have been added which requires redesign and again potential problems down the road. This is a fact. New features, new design= NEW PRODUCT. Our caller was well thought out and tested for years before I could afford to go forward and build a $44,000 dollar mold etc. Unfortunately the caller comparison does not do some callers justice, the Loudmouth expecially. Information on the Loudmouth leaked out 8 months prematurely and other companies added our features and totally changed their product to step up to our quality and feature standards. Here again totally redesigned their product. Go to the archives and check out a thread called new ecaller. We did the job right the first time. I also offer a satisfaction guarantee on the Loudmouth. If you would like any additional information, you are welcome to call me. Cell 1-610-972-9768 Biz, 1-717-768-8090

Olddog,
I can give you advice, but I want you to understand that I may be biased. I love my FOXPRO, and would recomend it to anyone. I am proud to be on the FOXPRO field staff, because they are a reputable company , have a great product, and have track record for treating there customers right. I have called in literaly hundreds of predators with their call with "O" malfuctions or problems. I am rough on my equiptment and depend on it to work every time. FOXPRO has never let me down. I know that sound like a commercial but it not it's the honest truth.
I have no experience with the Loudmouth, but from what I understand it, it does nothing the FOXPRO won't.
There has been a lot of wasted time slinging mud back and forth between FOXPRO users and Loudmouth users lately and I don't wish to get caught up in it. But I will give my opinion, biased as it may be. You have a choice to buy a proven product for less money, or an unproven product for more money. I'm sure I'll get slamed for that comment, but thats how I see it. I want you to understand I'm not knoking the loudmouth. I just have no experience with it.
I understand your frustration Oldog. Bob did a great comparison chart here on the board that may help you out.
I also like Dodge trucks, vanilla Ice cream, and white women, so PLEASE don't slam me for stateing my opinion.
Good Hunting
Byron
EDIT: I want it to be understood that FOXPRO field staff is "NOT" a paying position. We just get new products for testing under hunting conditions. We were all just satisfied customers first. We were asked to be on the field staff by FOXPRO because we spend a huge amount of time in the field hunting, and our input is put into improving their products.

olddog, Is it that you are just looking for a caller with remote capabilities?
One thing to keep in mind is that the sounds are more important that any remote OR unit for that matter.
Volume isn't as important either. Most people use way too much volume just like those who overblow.
Clarity of the sound without distortion when increasing volume is important too.
Oh yeah... Dodge trucks drive way too fast. For what it's worth, the FauxPro failed miserably in the Copper Plated BB Field Test. The PrayMaster survived the Canal Water Test. My Panasonic has been working for 25 years and my JS400 is lightweight and works as well. My Herters is too heavy and I can't find any fresh tapes for my 8-Track.

OK Jay, so the FOXPRO won't take a whole load of BB's. ;D
How's the Nascar class coming?

OK Y'all, I am giving everyone fair warning-ONCE. I will not let a "caller" war occur on this board, period! If you want to tell us what your caller does, the sounds you have available, and actual field experience, great. I do not want Foxpro owners telling anyone what a Loudmouth or any other caller will or will not do and vice versa. Tell us why you like your caller and how it works for you. The fact is that there ARE differences in the callers. The Foxpro and the Loudmouth are NOT the same callers. If you study the chart you will see the differences. If anyone has any questions you can call me about the units you may call me: 210-564-0711. Wayne, I am sorry you feel that the comparison slighted your caller. Frankly, none of the companies liked it, so you are not alone. I did as close to an apples to apples comparison as possible. Actually, I thought the Loudmouth came off pretty good when all the features were compared and I have had people tell me they bought your caller because of the chart.......primarily because of the ease with which you can load your own sounds without having to purchase a $40 accessory. Wayne, you are a new company. That is a fact. It is not a negative. Don't be so defensive about it. Yes, Foxpro redesigned their product. It is brand new also, but they have been in business as a company for a while. That is not necessarily good or bad, it is the people behind the company that count. In this case, both you and Mike Dillon(Foxpro) are good people and stand behind your procucts. You have already built a great reputation for customer service and for going the extra mile for your customers. Just continue to build on the great start you have. Another fact......all of these callers will call animals. It is your hunting and calling expertise that makes the difference. If you can't call with hand calls or with any one caller, you sure won't be able to call with another one. Good Hunting, Bob Now-Here is where I stand personally in my decision on a new digital wireless remote e-caller. I have successfully used the JS-512 cassette caller for years and continue to use it. I owned a Wildlife Technology caller for two years and did very well with it also. It is an excellent caller. If I were going to buy a unit today, I would probably go with the Loudmouth. It just fits my personal needs/wants better than the others. With what is currently available (and this is rapidly changing almost as we speak), my next choice would be the Foxpro. I know hunters that are using both and swear by them. This is just my opinion, so take it for what it is worth.

Bob,
Did you ever have any problems with your Wildlife tech. unit. Which model did you have. I have a local that has ever model of the Wilfdlife Techs that have been done. Even a few protos. This guy hunts yotes at championships all over the world. Yet there has not been but one or two of the models that have not had problems. I have done many repairs on his units for him. I have to give the WT credit that the sounds are bay far the best I have ever heard. Yet the cost is WAY up there and the ease of use is NON-exsistent.
Just wanted to hear your luck on them. How much was yours?

BW,
I never had a lick of trouble with mine. I think mine was the third incarnation......the first one with the horn speaker. Really, the only things I didn't like was the number of and different types of batteries and having to lug the speaker around separately. It was a critter callin' machine though.....
