With all the new callers entering the market......do you think the competition will bring prices down?
The FoxPro website is already listing "lower" prices with the explanation that higher volume purchasing has allowed them to lower prices........
Loudmouth now has a non-remote caller to compete with the less expensive callers.......
I know some of the lower priced new callers won't be of the same quality or have all the features of the more expensive callers.......but I'm already hearing of people buying the new Western Rivers digital caller because it is so much cheaper......let's face it......you have to be pretty hard core to spend $600 on a caller! ;D
So, what do you think......will the increased competition bring prices down???

From what I have gathered, it costs approx. $30 to build a Foxpro...... But I doubt they'll bring the costs down that much... LOL

I think they will come come down. How much...I don't know. And not only because of competetion, although that will help. Look how all other electronics have come down in the past few years. I remember the first digital camera I sold. It was a 640X480 resolution (for all of you mega pixel folks, that's .370 MP) and it sold for $999.99. Now a few years done the road you can get an 8MP camera or a Digital SLR with intechangeable lenses for $999.99, and they will keep coming down. Some new technology will come out and the new callers will sell for these current prices and the 'old' ones will come down, and then repeat the cycle every so often. Then they will be able to make the newer ones with cheaper parts/labor and they will come down again. Then they will move the factory to some 3rd world country and pay even less for labor and they will come down again. That's my thinkin on the subject anyways.

They already are.....or will. I know that Foxpro has several new units ready to hit the market. The new Johnny Stewart Bushwhacker will be at a much lower price point. Burnham Bros. new Compucaller II will be at about $300 as well. Loudmouth has announce a new lower price unit but it has not surfaced yet? Bob

If I remember right looking through the Hunter Specialties catalog we got at Walmart the Bushwacker is $295. I would think that's retail and not dealer price, but I'm not sure.
