Any big bore shooters here? I my self love em'. I have a sick liking for anything that dishes out heavy recoil. I call it recoil therapy and it is great! Anyway my big bores are,577NE 3" on a Ruger #1,and a 375 ultra on a win Model 70. Here in the next six months or so I should be getting a 500 Jeffery, that one is being built on a Muaser action. My very first big rifle was a 416 rem mag,(should have never got rid of it)Also had a 458(should have kept that one to) .

Own a couple of 45-70's, 416T, 500AHR, 375H&H, 50BMG. Have owned a couple of other 416's in the Rigby version, a 505Gibbs, 450Ackley, 416/350 Rem. Mag. Have owned a T/C Contender that had barrels in 45-70, 430JDJ and 411JDJ. Something about rifles and handguns that beat the crap out of things on both ends just appeal to me.

Every so often, I get the urge to go out and put 20 rounds over a bench through my 338 Win Mag. Not sure what the attraction is when I take the Excedrin when I get home, but love it.
Several years ago I was a a local range shooting it and noticed a guy about five spots away from me watching me closely. Finally he walked over and asked the question, "What in the H$%& are you shooting?" Everytime it goes off the grass in front of your bench waves for about twenty yards in front of you!".
I told him the caliber and offered to let him shoot it. The grass at the range was about 2 feet tall, and sure enough, with each shot the grass parted from the shock wave.
My collection includes everything from 17 Remington up to the 338 with just about all of the niches filled at least once, and recently I've been considering the "need" for a 416 Taylor in case dinosaurs ever re-ocur in the Houston area. Never too soon to get prepared!!

As the signature says. 50 BMG yet the recoil is not big bore in a heavy rifle like the AR-50.
This is the only rifle that I have ever bought that came with the Excedrin. And that isn't a joke it really does.
