We need to find a gunsmith who can make a new stock to fit Karen on the Beretta O/U I gave her. Does anyone know a gunsmith who fits shotguns? In Texas is the only requirement.... well and not insane of price..

Larry Feland in Houston is not cheap, but does quality work and is a favorite of many on the sporting clays circuit here - state champs and those in the know use larry. Bob Brister and Bobby Fowler both endorse him, I've had some work done by him and he did good work, but be prepared to pay up to $500 to have the gun fitted, depending on what alterations are needed. I had some work done by others before going to him and wish I would have just gone there first.
I went through several iterations of attempting to get a beretta I bought for Christmas fit, and my advice to you would be this : If the gun is worth less than $2500, sell it and take the money to find a gun that fits her "off the rack." Its just cheaper and worth the saved headaches of multiple fittings and then shooting and then more fitting.

Kelleyg, Larry Feland is one of the better ones. he has done three shot guns for me and I am real pickey about who works on my shot guns. You can go to some one like Gill Ash and he will fit the shot gun and give you the measurements and then have the work done by a gun smith. There are other shooting coaches around the state that belong to nsca or some other organizations that can measure and fit the shot gun.
