O.K. here is the scenario........................the ONLY calibers too choose from are 22-250, .223WSSM, .243, .220 SWIFT. The rifle gods have come down and taken all other calibers away and you are standing at the counter of the gun shop and your trying to decide which of these to buy. You are wanting to buy a fast, flat shooting, accurate rifle and saving the hides is NOT an issue. Which do you choose and why?

My vote is 22-250 ok Why it is a flat shooting round, easier on the barrel then a 220 Swift and there are lots of Load data for it.

ok thats a tuf one,243win popularity for one,you can walkinto walmarts anywhereusa and get ammo, verity of bullet weights, the right bullet weights are avalable for most hunting applications from p-dogs/coyotes/deer/hogs,bullet placement(while still very important)isnt quite as criticle as with the smaller cals

Same answer but 22-250. White box ammo at 15 per 40.00 ;-)
Though it's not on the list if you don't have a 223 I would get it first. I am not impressed with the 223wsm. I sell 1,000 55 gr softpoints for 175.00
