Savage has just started putting the AccuTrigger on all of their centerfire rifles instead of just the heavy barreled models. The only exception is the new single shot Model 40. Of course they did this just after I got my new Model 11FNS 22-250.......oh, well!

Oh, well........
Unfortunately the AccuTrigger on the hunting models in only adjustable from 2 1/2 lbs. to 6 lbs. Why bother?
"In most centerfire hunting models for 2004, the AccuTriggerâ„¢ is adjustable from approximately 2 1/2 lbs to 6 lbs, giving the shooter the flexibility to set the trigger pull to individual preference without paying a gunsmith to adjust the trigger. In the 12 Series Varmint and Law Enforcement Series, the AccuTriggerâ„¢ is adjustable from approximately 1 1/2lbs to 6lbs."

Bobcat, I just got to handle one of the new Savage 110 or 111 youth models. My hunting partner bought one for his grandson. This is one of the package guns with the Simmons scope, 223 and the new trigger. I've been thinking (I know thats dangerious.) about a Savage rebarreled in .204 Ruger and a 20 inch barrel. This sound like a project for Sharp shooter supply. My wife is at work so she won't read this till I've left for Az. ;D

Rick, I just got my first Savage Monday, and I like it. Mine is an over/under 223/12guage . It shoots 3 inch magnum shells. I bought 00 buck and copper plated BB's. I have already see that my shots are gonna be close range from now on, so I am not putting a scope on it. Next time a coyote comes after me, I will just see how close he will come. And ravens better keep their distance now. Bob

Rick you can't go wrong with a Savage kinda like Underdog the cartoon (mild mannered janitor but when trouble arises he comes out to win the day) or was that Hong Kong Phuey that was a janitor Guess I'm showing my age both ways remembering too much and yet not enough ;D

I've got three model 12 savages, one pre accu trigger (put in a timney) and two with accu triggers, all three are great shooters.

Not to stir anything up here, but am I the only one that doesn't like the accutrigger, I love savage rifles but the accutrigger is just not a "comfortable" feeling trigger to me. Maybe I am just used to tim's and jewels. I also like a wide padle style trigger. Maybe I am just the black sheep of the family.

The Accutrigger was a little hard to get used to. I have a 2 stage Jewel Trigger on my AR-15, so having multiple rifles with a 2 Stage trigger (well sort of.. I don't know that the accutrigger is actually a 2 stage, but it's pretty close) helps get used to it a lot faster. I like it now. Before the AccuTrigger I would have never bought a Savage. Now that they have a trigger that I like, there is very likely to be more Savage rifles in the safe in the very near future.
