Hi All, I just became the new owner of this D.R. Stromer Single Shot in 30'06. I know nothing about the maker of this rifle, supposed to be custom made in Germany. It looks like a copy of the Winchester high-wall but has an extra screw in the lower action. Also it is for a rimless case which is unusual for this type of action. Any info one of you may have on this maker or rifle will be appreciated. Since I'm not much of a 30'06 guy, I will probably make up another barrel or two for it, any suggestions, using the 30'06 head diameter?? Marcos (elalto)

Wow, that is drop dead gorgeous! And all this time, I thought that there was nothing quite as beautiful as a Ruger #1. Well, there is now! What a great piece of art. Enjoy.

Hey elalto,
That's really a beautiful rifle. I'm usually more into basic function and in the past have cared little for the appearance of my rifles, but lately I've been looking at several rifles and handguns to display in my room.
Congratulations on aquiring such a nice looking rifle.
