i have been thinking about a new rifle. i was prowling the net and got to looking at the cz's.;.............especially the 527.... did not know there was so many versions. i have always liked ,but never owned, guns with manlicher (spelling???) stocks. in you all's opinion ,, how much would a full length stock affect the accuracy of the gun. i think i would like one in a .222....... any thoughts on the subject??

OKCOYOTE,
The only CZ I own is a "full stock" in 223 it is quite good looking, I'll post a photo as soon as I get some new batteries for my camera. I don't know what the difference in accuracy would be as I don't have another to campare with. I will tell you that he "test target" had three shots in a tight clover-leaf of about .5".
I took the gun to the range to sight it in, a friend and I took turns shooting it and put together a very nice six shot group of .650".
I called CZ and ordered a stock for mine in the "American" pattern so that I can change stocks if I want, or if I have another barrel made making it a "switch" barrel gun.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the CZ's, the full stock version IMHO is one of the best looking.
Gook luck,
Marcos (elalto)

I have the CZ 527 American in .223........I absolutely love the little rifle. It too shoots about .5, weighs 6 lbs naked, and is smooth as silk. The barrel on my little gun is free floated pretty well. I know some of the full stock rifles are not free floated. This can cause vertical stringing of shots as the metal heats....not that it will, but it certainly can. They certainly are beautiful though. I almost bought the 527 carbine ....it comes with sights and no rings.......I didn't need the sights and do need the rings, so I saved 50.00 buying the American as opposed to the carbine.
I also have a CZ .22 long rifle...it too is a tack driver. My oldest son has one as well and it is too. I am about to start thinking if it says CZ on it it will shoot.....

ya'll are making me want one even more than before...i really like the looks of the full length stock.....had a ruger m777 international that did not group as i hoped it would....but for yotes at 200 yds or less....i could settle for a little less accuracy... i just dont know....

The manlicher I have in 223 is both light weight and accurate. The only thing I dont like about this gun is the wood looks to good to carry. I wish I could find a synthetic to camo and use for carrying in the field.
