Hi . I have a savage 12vfss in 22-250 and 223. I shoot a factory winchester (white box) in both calibers.I am getting a 3/8 '' group on the 22-250 and about the same with 223.I have several friends shooting the same ammo and are very pleased.

For factory ammo to use on coyotes and bobcats I would go with any of these:
Winchester Super-X Ammunition 22-250 Remington 55 Grain Pointed Soft Point
Federal Classic Centerfire Rifle Bullets, 22-250 Remington, 55 Grains, Soft Point
Remington Centerfire Rifle Cartridges, 22-250 Remington, 55 Grains, Pointed Soft Point
Winchester Supreme Centerfire Rifle Cartridges, 22-250 Remington, 50 Grains, Supreme Ballistic Silvertip

im with mikie i shoot the winchester 45 gr. hollow points in my .223. i get 3/4 inch groups and so far i have killed 5 coyotes ranging from 30 yards to 200 yards and havent had one leave their tracks. but i will say that they are not very good for fur hunting as they make one hell of a mess when they hit any kind of bone. good luck.
