So how many bow hunters do we have around here? I started bowhunting in 99 and was hooked immediately!! I got a decent 9pt and a doe the first year and a cull buck last year but I've been fortunate enough to take a lot of other animals during that time. I'm really looking forward to the 27th!!!!!!!

The only problem I have bow hunting is the more I bow hunt, the less I gun hunt.It is highly addictive. Jack

I have used both the compound and the recurve bow for hunting the last ten years and have taken deer and other game with both . Last year I took a buff up in Montana with a recurve bow . It is quite addictive this type of hunting . I am going to try and call a cougar in and take it with my recurve this year . Good luck hunting guys. Mountainman ;D ;D

;)Well, I'm not new; but I will say that I fling a feathered stick now and then. Nothing to really brag about, just a couple of does so far. I've hunted on tripods, tree stands, and ground... like the gound the best. Really gets the ole ticker pumpin!

I started out with rabbits when I was about eight. I took a seven point buck with a Bear recurve at fourteen. Lots of 3-D, traditional and compound, a little indoor, but not lately. Last year I culled a heavy bodied, young(3 1/2) eight pointer, that had good mass, but was only 13" outside. I had seven bucks under me on opening day, but nothing big enough. So we videoed them and let them grow. I hunt with a old PSE Fireflight with updated Maxis wheels and limbs.

I got to reading this section tonight and had foregetton how much I miss bow hunting. tore up by right rotator cuff, now I have tore up my right thumb. I have put off surgery on it for the past two years. Just drug out my bow 1st one is a oneida egeal aero-force. I am trying to remember how old it is. But I know I haven't shot it 50 time. the stand by bow is a golden eagle. I got it bad, I won't sellem and I can't usem.
