I posted this on the PM board and that post got me here, anyway. My Dad went to Chama NM on a Elk hunt and saw some nice bulls just not close enuff for a bow but ;D ;D ;D He did get a black bear and had to check it in with the rangers. The scales only went to 400lbs the ranger estimated the bear to be 500lbs + and had a skull that was 22 5/8" the old #1 P&Y was 22" so this may be the new #1 P&Y Black Bear but has to dry and we will see. I'll try and get some pic's
Oh I shoud say that mt Dad is the self proclamed last of the great white hunters. He has over 23 kills that are in the books. Laters

;DHey DeadEye... that's a great area for elk and bears. Chama has lots of trophy bulls there. Glad to hear your dad dun gud!
Did your dad see any BLONDES (bears that is)? Lots of em there this time of year! ;D ;D

Yes he did see some Blondes they were just to young and small. As for the pic's I just talked to him on the phone but I hope to get some pic's.

AR-No kidding, talk about dangerous game!  I met Dead Eye yesterday in Blanco, TX. I am still amazed at this bear his dad took on his elk hunt. Dead Eye is going to get a photo to post for us shortly. Bob |

Hey Guy's
Like I said my Dad is the last of the great white hunters ;D He was hunting some where around Big Spings last week and took a whitetail that scored 174 P&Y I saw the rack last week and well ;D ;D ;D Hope to have some pic's soon to post
