I was thinking of trying to get a Doctors profile so I could go hunting with a crossbow..lol. I have a bad case of calsified bursitis in my right shoulder. Wonder if thats enough and what the process is. Then I could go with Kelly bow hunting sometime.

Texpppr Due to shoulder problems, I had to make the move to a crossbow several years ago.....can't tell you about Texas law.....but I will tell you this.....crossbows are no more powerful, accurate, fast or deadly than modern compound bows.....and they are a real pain to carry through the woods and hold onto in a stand! However, a crossbow got me back in the woods during bow season and I am grateful! If it will allow you to spend more time in the woods...... go for it......find out if your condition will allow you to use one and get it done! Life it too short to sit on the sidelines wishing when you could be in the game. .......take a look at Excalibur Crossbows......I think they are the best hunting crossbow available! www.excaliburcrossbow.comLet me know if I can answer any crossbow questions for you!
