Well, in light of the conditions on my 'lease' this year, I'm gonna book a bowhunt for Karen and I right after Xmas. We'll be hunting in the Hill Country so we should at least see deer!

Heck why book the Hill Country with all the deer running around this city, nearly got 2 does this morning with a tanker. Now yesterday while working (if you know San Antonio) on Bandera road about 3 miles from loop 410 or give you a better idea Guilbeau and loop 1604. Walking along with not a care in the world a 10 point drop tine buck just followintg the road from south to north. And last weekend a 8 pointer was at the new car lot on US 281 behind our airport, guess he needed a ride

Know what ya mean CD, Lakeway up here is the same way. But the folks out there don't want to do anything about it but complain A couple of years ago they caught something like 90 (summertime) and loaded them into a semi-trailer and tried to haul them to east Tx. Most died on the way

hey Kelly, it was Oct.3 2001 and it was 110 deer going to a RAnch in Mexico and 94 of them died before making the Border,do to they didn't have the health to travel.
Thank god I didn't bid it to remove them.I ahve been to lakeway to remove deer in the past and those people are crazy out there. they will shoot you on site for messing with the deer and they are the first to complain, about the deer eatting everything in site.
my idea is to remove about 90%of the deer herd and then hunt it every year with a youth hunt.
Just my opinion.

Now are you talking about Lakeway off of FM620? With all the signs saying do not feed the deer We have a few areas like that here Hollywood park comes to mind first, they don't want you to feed them and they don't want them hunted or transported out of the area... go figure.

Yep, thats the place. They don't want you to feed the deer because it might mess up their diet of freshly planted landscaping plants. LOL!!!! ;D
